The Difference

The Sanctuary Difference

From a workday in Kitsilano to a trip away from Point Grey, leaving your dog should begin with finding the right environment. Our application-only approach puts compatibility before filling spaces.

Boutique care means a smaller community, familiar pack leaders, and time for both play and rest.

Curated Enrollment

Application-only. Enrollment is capped to protect the calm we've built.

Low Dog-to-Staff Ratio

Fewer dogs. More attention. Pack leaders who know your dog by name.

Structured Days

Play, rest, and a consistent daily rhythm — because predictability is care.

Family-Style Setting

Warm woods, soft lighting, home-like spaces. Nothing institutional.

Why It Matters

What Sets Us Apart

Every detail is designed around one thing: your dog's calm.

24/7 Overnight Supervision

Someone is physically in the room with your dog every night. Not a camera — a person.

Indoor Park Access

An off-leash indoor park inside the building. Rain or shine, your dog plays.

Behaviorally Matched

Groups matched by temperament, size, and energy — not just availability.

No Daytime Confinement

No crate time. Dogs move freely between play and rest throughout the day.

Dog boarding & daycare for anxious dogs in Vancouver

Anxious Dog Program

If busy dog-care spaces feel like too much, a quieter home may be a better fit. Our low-volume, home-based care pairs small, compatible groups with time to rest and consistent caregivers.

Overnight stays include 24/7 on-site supervision, so a caregiver is there through the night.

Share how your dog responds to separation, unfamiliar dogs and rest time. Tell us what helps them settle and when they need support.

We welcome many dogs with mild anxiety and offer a calm, structured home environment with close supervision, predictable routines, and personalized care.

These program names describe our approach within existing daycare and boarding, not a separate training or clinical service.

Rescue Dog Transition Program

Care that starts with getting to know your dog.

Every adopted dog is an individual. Some are confident and sociable; others need more time to feel comfortable with unfamiliar people, dogs, and surroundings.

At Pawty Mansion, our small, home-based environment offers predictable routines, consistent caregivers, and opportunities for both companionship and quiet rest.

Share any known history, current routine and preferences; it is okay if parts of their history are unknown. Adoption alone does not tell us what a dog needs.

Discuss readiness and whether a gradual introduction could be appropriate before making plans. There is no fixed transition timetable or guaranteed acceptance.

Client Stories

What Families Say

Our best measure of success: the look on a client's face at pickup.

"We used to dread dropping Oliver off at traditional kennels. The noise, the concrete runs — it broke my heart. Finding Pawty Mansion changed everything. He actually pulls me toward the door when we arrive."

Sarah M.

Kitsilano · Parent of Oliver (Golden Retriever)

"The 24/7 supervision is the only reason I can sleep when I travel. Knowing someone is physically in the room with them overnight — that changes everything."

Dr. James L.

UBC · Parent of Luna (French Bulldog)
